Senior home care assistant
Neways at Home is a family run home care and live-in care services based in Weymouth. We are supported by an experienced team of professionals who runs care homes (e.g. Chestnuts Care Home, Weymouth) and other home care locations in UK. Our mission is to provide outstanding care to the elderly people and empower them to live independently in their own homes. We are a growing company looking to develop the more services in Weymouth and Dorchester areas.
Role summary
We seek dedicated and passionate carers to support our clients in their homes and enhance their daily lives. There are numerous opportunities for career advancement to senior roles or other departments based on experience and interests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals at clients' homes
- Encourage timely eating and hydration
- Assist with personal care, including washing and dressing
- Prompt and support medication administration
- Provide companionship through activities such as outings or walks
- Perform light domestic duties and maintain cleanliness
- Uphold high care standards and be up-to-date with training and development
- Record all daily activities in our care delivery application
- Reporting all issues or concerns to the care coordination team
Key requirements:
- Experience in senior care roles, with a minimum of 2 years in domiciliary or home care
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to pursue this qualification)
- Valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Passion for providing excellent care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and integrity

- Fixed weekly contracts (15 to 30 hours)
