Personal care involves physical support with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance. Our caregivers deliver compassionate, discreet and professional care to support the individual's comfort and sense of dignity.
Our caregivers provide flexible support, ranging from full physical assistance to gentle oversight, respecting each individual's independence and autonomy. Sometimes, simply knowing that support is available can bring peace of mind, empowering vulnerable and older people to do more for themselves knowing there is someone with them to help where needed.
Our personal assistants are not only carefully chosen for their compassionate and caring nature, but are also fully trained to provide the best possible, most respectful service. Personal care assistants:

The carers who visited our home provided excellent personal care, treating my husband with dignity and respect. They were reliable, friendly, and took the time to know him, bringing out his humor. Always well-presented, they became like friends to us. It was hard to say goodbye when he moved into a care home.

A carer can support with personal care as many times as necessary throughout the day. Frequency as well as time spent with each person receiving support can be increased or decreased according to changing needs.
By the time one of our carers is working with the individual they are caring for, we will have asked enough questions to get to know not only the person's needs but also their preferences in terms of what they appreciate in terms of how much support they get e.g. to remove clothing, help with toileting, help with drying after a wash etc. We will find out everything and really get to know the person before starting to manage personal care needs.
We can help individuals to set up regular supplies of items such as incontinence pads, wipes, any specialist products etc. We can help source suitable items and assist individuals to buy what they need. Our carers can also include personal care items in their shopping responsibilities (where these are part of the home care agreed).
Our service is very flexible according to the needs of the individual so we are prepared to consider more than what is mentioned above.
Promoting social connections for older people As we get older and perhaps retire or choose to not socialise as much, our social connections and community engagement often decline. This can lead to feelings of loneliness, isolation, and disconnection. However, community engagement is crucial for older people's physical and mental well-being.
